Aspalathus globulosa leaves

Aspalathus globulosa leaves
Author: Ivan Lätti
Photographer: Francelle van Zyl

The thinly thread-like or needle-like leaves of Aspalathus globulosa are alternate and simple or on upper shoots sometimes three-lobed, or trifoliolate. The deep green, hairy leaves often curve in. Several smaller leaves tend to grow from the leaf axils in fascicles (Privett and Lutzeyer, 2010; Bean and Johns, 2005; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist).
