Orthochilus foliosus family resemblance

Orthochilus foliosus family resemblance
Author: Ivan Lätti

This Orthochilus foliosus inflorescence reminds of Eulophia flowering, the close relative from which the Orthochilus genus was separated, in books. The sepals and petals are generally similar in texture and colour.

The lip is here not so strongly three‑lobed, broad and slightly thickened. The lip colour, sometimes deep wine‑maroon in O. foliosus, is paler, a washed or smoky rose‑brown (Pooley, 1998; iNaturalist).
