Orthochilus not vinosus shiny but bent
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Judd Kirkel Welwitch

Seen from this angle, the inflorescence of the Orthochilus that is not Orthochilus vinosus, reminds of turkey necks. The down-curved ovaries on thin pedicels are twisted after resupination. The ovaries are dark, not quite as dark as some sepal tips. The narrow bracts are now often above, instead of subtending the flower bases, some dry and papery. Flower parts are here fairly glossy (iNaturalist).
