This Orthochilus that is not Orthochilus vinosus presents an open flower with its lateral sepals spread, as one might expect more of a Eulophia flower. The sepals are here concave in the upper surfaces. The broad lip below has white-tipped papillae more or less in rows on its central, horizontal lobe. The two narrower lateral lobes are erect from the sides of the base, curving in. Little is visible of the dorsal sepal positioned flattish over the erect column, tipped by its dark anther cap.

The lateral petal pair spreads angled down to the sides from under the dorsal sepal, much smaller than the lateral sepals. The hooked bract over the flower rises narrowly from the back behind the dorsal sepal.

In restaurant terms the inside of this flower might look inviting to itinerant pollinators in search of nourishment (iNaturalist).
