Drosanthemum hispidum hiding its creeping branches

Drosanthemum hispidum hiding its creeping branches
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Judd Kirkel Welwitch

When it is spread widely, sometimes up to about 1 m in diameter, the prostrate Drosanthemum hispidum shrub responds in this manner to the flowering signals of the warmer months. The performance that ensues leaves hardly a leaf on the plant in sight.

These flowers don’t do solo as much as full choir. Exuberance should never be half-hearted (Van Rooyen and Van Rooyen, 2019; iNaturalist).
