    Ebracteola fulleri leaves

    Ebracteola fulleri leaves
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Judd Kirkel Welwitch

The succulent leaves of Ebracteola fulleri grow in equal, opposite pairs joined at the base. The leaves are smooth, erect and slightly incurving. The shape is cylindrical, or closer to that than to triangular, from the presence of keels, though rounded ones, from the presence of succulence. This is a shape sometimes called semi-terete. The leaf tips are pointed, often with slight mucro protrusions that point to the outside. The leaf colour is blue-grey, sometimes approaching off-white, and hinting at a faint and uneven translucence in certain light. Leaf length is up to 4,5 cm (Williamson, 2010; Smith, et al, 1998; iNaturalist).
