After flowering, the Oscularia deltoides fruit capsule faces up among the leaves, remaining on the plant for long. This one shows five equal, triangular valves on top, meeting in the centre. Expanding keels and covering membranes are present in the capsule, but no closing bodies.
The red and pointed leaves of this admired vygie made it popular as a garden plant (Smith, et al, 1998; iNaturalist).
