    Erica baccans leaves

    Erica baccans leaves
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Francelle van Zyl

The small, linear leaves of Erica baccans ascend close to the stems in whorls of four or scattered up the creamy upper stems. Whitish longitudinal lines are visible along the centre of the outside leaf surfaces, the outer surfaces convex. There is fine toothing along the margins. The pointed tips are slightly bent inwards (Manning and Helme, 2024; Manning, 2007; iNaturalist; ).
