Ripe Carissa bispinosa fruits are red, as one of the two in picture. The ovoid fruit is thin-skinned in the sense relevant to its consumers, many animals, birds and people, not in the sense of people with overly sensitive dispositions.
Tiny, whitish green sepal lobes are visible behind the fruit in picture. One of them is clearly pointed, the others recurving their tips out of sight. The style sometimes remains at the tip of the fruit, not visible in the photo (Coates Palgrave, 2002; Pooley, 1993; iNaturalist).
