Dimorphotheca cuneata, the bosmargriet in Afrikaans bears soft green leaves that are sticky from glandular hairs growing on them. The leaf is wedge-shaped with toothed and sometimes lobed margins.
The flowerheads have yellow florets on the central discs and white ray florets with coppery lower surfaces around them.
The spring blooming follows winter rain (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2010; Manning, 2009; www.plantzafrica.com).
