Aptosimum indivisum

Once Aptosimum indivisum is strongly established, it is very capable of responding to good rain in this exuberant fashion. Good flower years do not, however, come that often in the arid regions of the country. They are savoured when they do.

The spreading branches form the mat of leaves above which the flowers direct their appeal to hungry insect pollinators. Emerging buds to open soon and dried flowers within which the seeds are already forming, can be spotted among the lavish show of blue.
