Anacampseros filamentosa subsp. filamentosa

The flower of Anacampseros filamentosa subsp. filamentosa is small and pink. They grow in small clusters on sturdy, erect, fawn coloured stalks. Pointed pale beige sepals are found below the corolla, curved inwards laterally in this photo. The five petals are elliptic to ovate, usually tapering to pointed tips, sometimes nearly rounded. The petal surface is shiny, as can be seen on the specimen in picture. A cluster of stamens with yellow anthers on thin filaments surround the white style that stands taller than the stamens, tipped with an elongated stigma.

The plant is known locally as haaskos (hare food) or boesmansuring (bushman sorrel).
