This white-flowering Lapeirousia jacquinii plant photographed at the Clanwilliam Dam in August is unusual, the flower colour very uncommon.
L. jacquinii has grey-green, ribbed, sword-shaped leaves and a trumpet-shaped flower tube of up to 4 cm in length. The flowers are spirally arranged on two-keeled bracts in a short spike from a branched stem (Manning, 2007; iSpot; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984).
