    Helichrysum felinum

    Helichrysum felinum
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Judd Kirkel Welwitch

The branched clusters of Helichrysum felinum flowerheads may be flat-topped or slightly domed as in the photo. Bigger clusters with more branching do occur. They lose their initial pink colouring as they mature; the bracts becoming white, the disc florets yellow.

This plant was seen in Bainskloof during October (Moriarty, 1997; Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2010; iSpot).
