The pale triangular bracts of Disa bolusiana show their usually visible, reticulate veining readily. The bracts that remain erect on the inflorescences of the species are ovate, tapering or attenuating to their pale purplish tips.
Close behind some of the flowers (those facing away from the camera), the long thin spurs of the flowers can be seen pointing down.
The fleshy D. bolusiana flower spur becomes 1,6 to 2,5 cm long and has an acute tip (Liltved and Johnson, 2012).
