Crassula multicava, commonly known as the fairy crassula or in Afrikaans as the skaduplakkie, is often the best candidate for planting as a groundcover in the shady spot where few other plants will grow. It is a most rewarding garden plant and one of the easier ones to grow from cuttings. It grows fast, lasts well in different conditions and forms a mat that keeps the weeds out and requires little support to look good.

Multicava refers to the many little holes on the disc-like succulent leaves of the plant. And it is not shy to produce many small white flowers with pink on the outside and the flower stalks.
