The Millettia grandis fruits are large, flat, woody pods, becoming about 15 cm long. They are seen in winter and spring, the brown surfaces in picture have a covering of velvety hair.
Conspicuous, even after they have become dry and dehisced to release their seeds, each pod ends in a couple of spiralled, flat blades that persist. The seeds are flat and oblong (Coates Palgrave, 2002).
