Alternate and simple, Anacampseros telephiastrum leaves are also sessile, i.e. stalkless. Stipules are present at their bases. These stipules are long, white and hairy; wiry bristles like air roots.
At stem tips the leaves are arranged in a compact rosette, but once left behind down the short stems, spaces develop among them.
Leaf-shapes vary from elliptic to ovate and obovate, the blades thick and smooth. The leaf-tips are notably sharp-pointed. Several shades of green and some coppery brown tints, even a hint of purple enhance the colouring of this plants leaves (Frandsen, 2017; Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2010; iSpot).
