Clivia miniata bearing fruit

The globose, fleshy, green berries of Clivia miniata will change colour to bright red or burgundy as they ripen in the case of C. miniata var. miniata. The ripe berries of var. citrina will become pale or deep yellow, rarely red-speckled.

The seeds should be planted in rich compost and well-watered for germination to occur within a month or two. Some say the seeds should be removed from the fruit and allowed to dry first before planting, although not all do that. This may be one of the easier plants to experiment with as they produce ample fruit (Duncan, et al, 2016).
