The Erica cerinthoides flowers in this cluster have some orange and even yellowish colouring. The flowers in the cluster spread as if to ensure that every approaching pollinator will be accommodated without delay. Buds yet to open are small in the centre of the cluster (Manning and Helme, 2024; Manning, 2009; iNaturalist).
