    Veltheimia capensis leaves

    Veltheimia capensis leaves
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Jack Lätti

These Veltheimia capensis leaves are fairly narrow and pale grey-green, their margins strongly and regularly undulate. There is sometimes a grey bloom upon the leaf surfaces.

The unruly rosette in picture begins a little above-ground, all held together at the base in a short, sheathed, red stem (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2010; Manning, 2007).
