The yellow-flowered Cleretum bellidiforme may have a pale yellow or variably dark centre. Petal bases may also be paler in the yellow-flowered form, while many C. bellidiforme plants flower differently coloured, also two-toned.
The inner stamens have jointed filaments. The sepals on buds in view have elongated tips, some curved.
The obovate leaves varying in width have flat, fleshy blades, never lobed. Leaves and sepals are sometimes tinged red, the bladder cells along their surfaces glassy. It’s sometimes hard to find two leaves of equal size on a plant like this (Manning and Goldblatt, 1997; iNaturalist).
