A Lapeirousia divaricata inflorescence may project a profusion, even a confusion of poorly controlled floral tips. Bits of stamen and style jut eagerly among the boisterous upper tepals, usually close to the dorsal one.
The short, green bracts overshadowed below are modest and controlled, holding it all together like support staff at an unruly feast.
