    Lapeirousia fabricii mature plant
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Thabo Maphisa

The mature Lapeirousia fabricii plant in picture has some purple-tipped leaves and bracts, the others green or blue-green. The lowest leaf is conspicuously large.

Branching starts at the base, continuing higher up. The branches spiral slightly, angling up similarly to the flowers (Manning, 2007; Manning and Goldblatt, 1997).
