This Biedouw Valley botterboom is pushing out long, red-stalked inflorescences in September. They are angled out among the dry bloom remains from what appears to be several previous years, undisturbedly persisting over the leaves.
The buds and short, upper panicle branches are greenish cream, the stems red or orange as the open flowers will later be (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Manning, 2007).
