    The simple leaves of Syncarpha eximia are alternate to overlapping and stalkless. The leaf-shape is ovate, tapering to an acutely pointed tip. The margins are entire and rolled under. The blades are grey to silvery, thick and felted, the midrib prominent below (Manning, 2007; Moriarty, 1997; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist).
