Zygophyllum foetidum old woody stems

Old branches of the climber or scrambler plant, Zygophyllum foetidum, become woody and grey, here conspicuously channelled.

Leaflet veins are pale in picture, leaf petioles also channelled (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Manning, 2009).
