Aspalathus setacea

Aspalathus setacea, sometimes called the eastern Capegorse, is a single-stemmed, erect shrub reaching heights up to around 2,5 m.

The species distribution is in the east of the Western Cape, from Knysna to the Eastern Cape, the Langkloof, the Kouga and the coastal region to the south of KwaZulu-Natal near Port Edward. The photo was taken in the Kouga Valley.

The habitat is flats and lower sandstone slopes in grassy fynbos, transitional shrubland and thicket.
