Ursinia anethoides, commonly the leafy paraseed and previously scientifically Sphenogyne anethoides, is an erect perennial reaching heights from 20 cm to 50 cm.

The species distribution is in the west of the Eastern Cape from Gqeberha to Mossel Bay in the Western Cape. The plant in picture was photographed in the Langkloof.

The habitat is fynbos, grassy places and coastal dunes. The species is not considered to be threatened in its habitat early in the twenty first century (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; Gledhill, 1981; iNaturalist; http://redlist.sanbi.org).
