    Chaenostoma revolutum corolla tube

    Chaenostoma revolutum corolla tube
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Thabo Maphisa

The funnel-shaped and orange-yellow corolla tube of the Chaenostoma revolutum flower is initially narrow and pale above the sepals before its abrupt widening and colour change, after which it carries on cylindrically to the petal lobes.

The small, green sepal lobes are narrow, angled away from the corolla (Curtis-Scott, et al, 2020; Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2010; Manning, 2007).
