This succulent Hermannia species has pinnate leaves with few ascending pinnae or deeply lobed leaves. Some even appear as if they are simple tapering into longish petioles, the succulent leaves or leaflets oblanceolate and curved. Leaflet tips are barrel-shaped to flattened.
It is not known whether the plant’s aroma causing its specific name of Hermannia orgasmiodorata originates from flowers or leaves. Restricted to a small range in the Cape Columbine area, it is yet little-known. This is a disadvantage likely to be overcome as a big human population urban area is near and the Cape Columbine Nature Reserve accessible.
