    The paired spines of Euphorbia perangusta display individuality in shape, size and colour here, as usually seen in a herd of Nguni cattle.

    Whether the ridges of spine shields are continuous is debatable, possible intermittent but a close call. Stem ridge twisting in the big spine patches is often present.

    The cream stem blotches form patterns with some variation on different stems and plants (Frandsen, 2017).
