Flowering in numbers in the Little Karoo, a colony of Tritonia securigera subsp. securigera makes an impression. Such spring exuberance in a sunny spot may be of interest to some gardeners.

The longish tepal lobes keep together in two groups of three in the two-lipped floral structure, the lower three more similar, channelled and cohering more (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Manning, 2009; iNaturalist; https://www.pacificbulbsociety.org).
