Gunnera perpensa living it up in Jonkershoek
    Author: Ivan Lätti

The tuft of wavy Gunnera perpensa leaves can be lush and spreading, bright green to dark green on top. The leaves are all similarly or suitably long-stalked here to form a horizontal leafy plane close to the ground among grass and scrub.

The photo was taken in Jonkershoek near Stellenbosch in July, too early for flowers to be present, but the rain has clearly been sufficient (Pooley, 1998; Moriarty, 1997; Van Wyk and Malan, 1997; iNaturalist).
