Searsia laevigata var. laevigata forma laevigata bears branched heads of insignificantly small, greenish yellow to cream flowers. The heads become up to 6 cm long.

Flowering is concurrent with annual new leaves or from shortly before the leaves but there may be flowers until after midautumn.

The often russet-red fruits are almost spherical, 4 mm to 5 mm in diameter (Coates Palgrave, 2002; Van Wyk and Van Wyk, 1997; iNaturalist).
