    Curio articulatus inflorescence and leaves
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Louis Jordaan

Sporting a tall, branched inflorescence, this Curio articulatus plant surprises by lots of leaves instead of the usual jointed, succulent stem sausages at its base.

The dark green or grey-green leaves are heart-shaped and somewhat angularly lobed, sometimes purplish below and thinly fleshy (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Moriarty, 1997; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist).
