A Curio radicans flowerhead is based on a cylindrical, green involucre comprising narrowly oblong, round-tipped bracts.
In the buds of the head on the left in picture, the dull whitish tubes of the disc florets are still closed at the top. On the right the five corolla lobes curve out on each of the bisexual florets.
Yellow anthers of the erect stamens, or the recurving branches of the white styles are far exserted from some of the flowers (Smith, et al, 2017; Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; iNaturalist).
