    Ruschia multiflora leaves
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Louis Jordaan

The thickly succulent, opposite leaves of Ruschia multiflora are partly joined at the base, decussate and ascending. The leaf-pairs are spaced upon the upper stems and present somewhat lower down as well.

The long and narrow leaves, more triangular in cross-section than cylindrical, taper abruptly to pointed, slightly outcurving tips. The smooth surfaces are dull green to blue green. Leaf dimensions are up to 20 mm long and about 4 mm in diameter (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist).
