The long-stalked leaves of Pelargonium elongatum are roundly five-lobed with toothed margins and venation prominent on the lower surfaces. There are maroon zonal rings on the hairy blades, about halfway to the margins. Young leaves are heart-shaped. Leaf diameter is up to about 5 cm (Manning, 2007; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist; https://www.fernkloof.org.za).
