    Aristaloe aristata
    Author: Ivan Lätti

The inner leaves of this Aristaloe aristata rosette are greener than the outer ones. Turning yellow is a nascent trend, turning brown is stronger, starting from the tips that have shrivelled in some cases into dry strings.

The impressive, cylindrical peduncle base dominates the scene here, pale purplish and smooth (Van Wyk and Smith, 2003; Reynolds, 1974; Jeppe, 1969; iNaturalist).
