Holothrix scopularia leaf and hairy stem
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Judd Kirkel Welwitch

The fleshy leaves of Holothrix scopularia are usually two rounded, unequal blades positioned flat on the ground. The plant in picture seems to have only one. Leaf hairs are mostly present on the upper surfaces near the margins.

The dull purple scape in picture is sturdy, cylindrical and erect. It often exceeds 30 cm in height (Pooley, 1998; iNaturalist).
