The sheer force and turbulence of falling water over rocks high and low bring focus. It may be the fast river that duly slows the mind. Mesmerised by white water looks and sounds, the soul does its stocktaking. Records valued moments truly lived. Who knows whether days or years are added at the end from peak experiences along the way? Not a worthy thought.

That life is a gift does become clear when nature shares its splendour. Continuous sculpting of the banks while chasing debris downstream ensures tomorrow’s river will be a novel sight. The ecology that lives here includes all that stop to watch. Value life. It is the best you have.
