The red-flowered Lachenalia bulbifera plants above the coastal rocks enjoy an unimpaired sea view, like millionaire beach houses. Excited-looking green leaves point here, there and everywhere as the busy waves bounce about, sending faint spray of salty droplets over all that live this close. Not all plants cope with so much salt.
