    The three petaloid Moraea ciliata style branches end in split upper half crests. They are linear to lance-shaped and clawed with wavy margins, erect above the flower centre and about 1,5 cm long. Vein lines may display as on the tepals. The stigma is positioned on an outer lobe at the base of each crest.

    In picture the yellow of the nectar guides seems to be only on the hairs. The hairs in the brown patches are brown (Curtis-Scott, et al, 2020; Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Manning, 2009; Le Roux, et al, 2005; iNaturalist; https://pza.sanbi.org).
