Hereroa glenensis flowers are long-pedicelled above the leaves with bracts present. The preceding buds are cone-shaped. The flowers are yellow, their petals in several whorls around the anthers. Five unequal, fleshy sepals surround the petals. Flower diameter is up to 3 cm.

The stamens are numerous, while only five, thread-like stigmas are present. Nectar glands are present in the flower bases.

Open in daytime, the flowers close at night. Bloomtime is summer and early autumn.

A fruit capsule has five locules. There are tiny closing bodies, expanding keels and covering membranes in these capsules (Smith, et al, 1998; iNaturalist; https://www.botanikks.com).
