The yellowish green or reddish stems of Curio radicans are visible when the alternate leaves are not densely clustered.

The leaves point upwards from the stems on short petioles. They are cylindrical to narrowly cone-shaped, tapering to both ends and sometimes slightly curved like tiny bananas.

There are narrow translucent windows on one side of the leaf, as well as fine veining sometimes discernible on the leaf surfaces (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Wikipedia).
