Pelargonium alchemilloides leaves

The rounded leaves of Pelargonium alchemilloides have here several deeply incised divisions parallel sides with entire margin parts, serrations only along the lobe tips. There is a dark maroon zonal marking, jaggedly shaped on each lobe. Fold-like, veined channels run radially from the leaf base to the lobe tips.

These features vary much across the plant’s wide distribution. So does the leaf colour, but its hairiness seems to be generally present. Broadly oval stipules are found at the leaf stalk base on the stem (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Manning, 2009; Blundell, 1987; iNaturalist).
