The flower of Monsonia multifida has five pink petals with magenta blotches near the petal bases. The corolla may also be white. Pinkish red veins are sometimes seen on the petal surfaces. Flowers measure 3 cm across. Petal surfaces are creased in an untidy manner. The petal margins repeat the uneven appearance.

Large pale yellow anthers top the small white stamens that veer outwards over the petals. A white stigma is visible in the flower centre, at the tip of its greenish style (Williamson, 2010; www.plantzafrica.com).
