Brunsvigia pulchra in its unlikely habitat
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Judd Kirkel Welwitch

The compact inflorescence of Brunsvigia pulchra is presented on a stout, smooth, brown scape that curves slightly here.

Two broad membranous bracts that initially covered the bunch of floret buds before their opening can be seen sagging laterally besides the bunched florets (www.pacificbulbsociety.org).
