Pelargonium myrrhifolium var. myrrhifolium

Pelargonium myrrhifolium var. myrrhifolium, in Afrikaans the fynblaarklipmalva (fine leaf stone pelargonium), is a spreading shrublet that grows to 50 cm.

The large, doubly dissected leaves appear lace-like. They grow on soft, branched stems that are herbaceous and often decumbent.

The species distribution is in the Western Cape and the western parts of the Eastern Cape.

The habitat is open, stony veld including fynbos where the soil is sandy. The habitat population of the variety is deemed of least concern early in the twenty first century (Manning, 2009; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist; www2.arnes.si; http://redlist.sanbi.org).
